Landstar Development plans Waterstone on 390 acres east of Florida's Turnpike, west of Speedway Boulevard and north of SW 312th Street, with 2,270 single family homes and townhouses. Landstar sells parcels to Caribe Homes, Lennar Homes, Lowell Homes and Prime Homebuilders, construction starts in the first quarter of 2003 and Lowell's Marbella Cove section is sold out by August 2004. A Publix anchored Waterstone Plaza opens at SW 137th Avenue and SW 288th Street in 2005.
