The lakefront subdivision east of Old Cutler Road counts 5,615 residents in the 1990 census and 9,055 in 2000. Hurricane Andrew destroys most of its wood frame homes in August 1992 and it is rebuilt in concrete. The census designated place is absorbed into the Town of Cutler Bay at incorporation in 2005. The developer and start of construction are not documented in the sources used; the year given is the first census count.
