Coral Reef Drive runs 9.6 miles from SW 162nd Avenue to Ludlam Road, passing Zoo Miami, the Turnpike interchange at Palmetto Estates, Jackson South hospital and the Palmetto Golf Course before crossing US 1 and the TransitWay at the SW 152 St station. The 2.5 mile section from the Turnpike to US 1 is signed State Road 992 in 1983 and rebuilt by FDOT in 2018.
