Metro Express launches on 27 October 2025 after a ribbon cutting on 22 October 2025. Route 601 stops only at the BRT stations between Dadeland South and the SW 344th Street terminal, every 7.5 minutes in the peak direction and every 15 minutes off peak, while route 602 TransitWay Local makes all stops 24 hours a day. The county describes the fleet of New Flyer XE60 articulated electric buses as the longest all electric BRT service in the nation.
