Palm Drive is Florida City's principal east west street, carrying US 1 traffic toward the Turnpike terminus and Card Sound Road. The busway reaches it on 16 December 2007 and the SW 344th Street terminal is the southern end of Metro Express. FDOT widens it between Krome Avenue and US 1 as part of the 2020 to 2021 truck bypass. The year given is the transit terminal opening; the street itself dates from the town's early plats and no opening year is documented here.
