Dadeland South opens on 20 May 1984 as the southern terminus of Metrorail at 9150 Dadeland Boulevard. It is the northern end of the busway from 1997 and of Metro Express routes 601 and 602 from 2025, and the Palmetto Bay IBus also terminates here. It carried about 2.2 million passengers in 2012.
