The first Homestead rodeo is held on 11 November 1949 at Municipal Park. The rodeo becomes an annual January or February event with a free parade through downtown Homestead, and the multi week Frontier Days celebration runs from the early 1980s to the mid 1990s, revived in 2009 and renamed Rodeo Days in 2012. The 78th rodeo is scheduled for 29 to 31 January 2027.
