Ellie Schneiderman and I. Stanley Levine, founders of the South Florida Art Center on Lincoln Road, open ArtSouth in Homestead in 2000 as an arts campus with studios, galleries and classes. The organisation leaves Homestead in 2013 and now runs monthly open houses, exhibitions and classes from the historic Perrine Community House at 900 East Perrine Avenue in Palmetto Bay.
