Henry Flagler brings the Florida East Coast Railway to Homestead in 1904 and announces the extension to Key West in 1905, which he rides into Key West on 22 January 1912. His Model Land Company, through agent James E. Ingraham, controls the Perrine Grant lands that become Cutler Ridge and Cutler Bay.
