The Farmworker Association of Florida grows out of unemployed citrus workers meeting in Mascotte after the early 1980s freezes, incorporates in 1986 and goes statewide in 1992. It runs five offices, in Apopka, Pierson, Fellsmere, Homestead and Immokalee. The Homestead office opening year is not given on the site.
