A three week charrette in November 1992 sponsored by We Will Rebuild's Innovation Committee, the University of Miami and FIU design schools and the Miami AIA, ASLA and APA chapters identifies 33 South Dade communities needing plans and proposes a community centre with a square and hall for each. Its South Miami Heights case study on 57.65 acres plans a rebuilt Caribbean Elementary as a community centre, 213 new homes and 102 renovated apartments.
