Miami-Dade County's Comprehensive Development Master Plan sets where and how development and conservation occur over ten to twenty years and is the framework for zoning and infrastructure. Its 1975 land use map draws the Urban Development Boundary. The plan is amended in cycles each January, May and October and reviewed every seven years.
